Are you considering adoption?
Have you already started the process?
Wherever you are in the journey to build your family, you can get support from those in the adoption community. Online forums are a great place to share your thoughts, experiences, struggles, and questions. They are filled with people just like you.
Forums are online communities created for all people touched by adoption: hopeful parents, birthmothers, adoptees, and adoption professionals.
You can find groups and discussions about domestic adoption, international adoption, foster adoption, just starting the adoption process, stuck in the waiting phase, and much more.
Adoption forums allow you to create a group or discussion as well. So if you don’t see a topic that fits your situation, create one and start sharing.
You can setup the forums to send you emails automatically when new groups or discussions are added. Some of them also allow you to view pictures and videos or upload and share your own.
To get started, you can simply browse around the sites to see how things look and feel. When you are ready to start sharing and interacting with others you will need to register/sign up.
There are a number of adoption forums online, but they are not all created equal. The better forums are easier to navigate, have more people to interact with, and they allow you to personalize the site for what you like.
Here are my two favorite adoption forum sites, Adoptive Families Circle and Adoption Voices. Check them out and let me know what you think. I look forward to talking with you on the forums!
