Lifetime is the adoption service my wife and I worked with for ALL 3 of our infant adoptions. They are fantastic to work with and were founded in 1986 by Mardie Caldwell after her struggle with 7 pregnancy losses and her own adoptions and working with women in crisis. They are one of the few facilitators licensed in California – AND they are licensed in Florida as a child placing agency. Click here to see their About Us page.
The mission is to help families and birthmothers come together. Lifetime’s specialty is assisting and supporting prospective birthparents in their search to find qualified adoptive families. Lifetime helps bring together prospective adoptive families and birthparents from all over the U.S. and even military families overseas!
On average, Lifetime receives over 300 phone calls daily and is available for emergencies 24-hours a day. Over the years, Lifetime has become known for its caring and genuine concern for birthmothers’ well-being before and after adoption.
Lifetime is dedicated to providing excellent adoption services to the women and families that seek our help, regardless of ethnic background, age, health, or income. They help find loving adoptive families for domestic children in need of permanent homes as requested by their birthparents.
Lifetime is lead by a belief in Jesus and they strive to provide the visible love, forgiveness, and compassion of Jesus. They are NOT an agency, but rather a faith-based referral service (also known as consultants) based in Atlanta, Georgia. What does this mean? They assist adoptive families nationwide who are seeking an infant through domestic adoption. They exist to walk alongside Christian families as they obey the calling of adoption placed on their lives.
FAC has a network of agencies and attorneys across the US that are licensed in child placement. They will send profiles and home studies for hopeful adoptive families directly to their network of agencies and attorneys, who will then work on matching an expectant mom to a hopeful adoptive family.
FAC works with adoptive families in all states except New York and New Jersey. They also work with hopeful adoptive families that are U.S. Citizens currently living abroad. You can read more on the Frequently Asked Questions page.
